We’re a small, local crew. That’s on purpose. Gate repair is not a volume business, so we don’t run one. Every technician who shows up at your Ventura property has been background-checked, identity-verified, and photo-badged under The Threshold Standard. You’ll know the name and see the face before the van ever pulls up. What unites us is simple: we fix gates, we write down the price first, and we stand behind the work for a full year. That’s it. That’s the whole job.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Cole Rafferty, Owner
Cole started Warden Gate Repair Ventura in 2008 as part of the Threshold Group family, and he still takes service calls himself. He’s factory-trained across all nine brands we service: LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule. Cole is the one who wrote the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and he’s the one who answers for it if a repair doesn’t hold. He has seen a gate held together with a bungee cord and a prayer more than once, and he’ll tell you that story while he’s fixing the actual problem.
Marta R., Lead Technician
Marta has been with Warden Gate Repair Ventura for eleven years, which means she’s likely seen your exact gate motor problem before, probably twice. She specializes in electric gate repair and gate motor replacement on swing and slide systems. Her particular strength is diagnosing intermittent faults: the gates that work fine for three days, then refuse to close when the fog rolls in off the Ventura coast. Outside work, Marta restores old bicycles, mostly because she likes seeing a mechanism go from seized to smooth.
Devon T., Senior Installer
Devon handles the heavier structural work: gate repair that involves real fabrication, hinge replacement, and track realignment. He came up through commercial access control, so he treats every residential gate like it has to hold up to a parking lot’s worth of abuse. Devon is the crew’s welding specialist and the reason our repairs hold up to salt air better than most. He’s also the person most likely to point out that your gate post was never set deep enough in the first place, which is true more often than homeowners want to hear.
Luis C., Service Coordinator
Luis is the voice on the phone, and there’s always a voice on the phone: we answer live 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. He’s the one who takes your call, asks the right questions about what the gate is doing, and matches you with the right technician. Luis has a mental map of Ventura neighborhoods that’s better than some delivery drivers, so he can tell you if Marta is already near your part of town. He also keeps the schedule honest: when we say a technician is coming, the technician is actually coming.
One Standard, Every Job
The Threshold Standard isn’t a slogan here. It’s the actual list of things we do before, during, and after every visit. Before arrival, you get the technician’s name and photo, and they show a photo ID badge at the door. Before any work starts, you get a written price. Not an estimate range, not a verbal ballpark: a written price. After the work, every repair carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If the repair fails within a year, the return visit is free, no arguments, no fine print. That standard follows every technician on every job, whether it’s a gate motor swap in Midtown or a slide gate track repair out near the Avenue. It’s how a local crew earns the name Warden: we watch over the gate and keep it working, so you don’t have to think about it.
