A gate is one of the few parts of a home that moves under power every single day. Hinges sag, motors burn out, welds crack, and sensors misalign. We could tell you we fix those things, but it lands differently when you see it. Below are real transformations from Ventura jobs: the before, the work, and the after. No bungee cords, we promise. Well, no bungee cords after we leave.

Slide Gate Motor Replacement in Midtown Ventura
Before
AfterThe old motor had been dead for months. The homeowner was opening a 400-pound sliding gate by hand twice a day, which is not a long-term plan. We removed the failed unit, installed a new LiftMaster slide operator, and set the travel limits and force settings so the gate stops exactly where it should. It now opens with a remote and closes itself on a timer.
Bent Gate Frame Straightened and Re-Hung
Before
AfterA delivery truck clipped the edge of this swing gate and threw the frame out of square by nearly two inches. The gate would drag on the concrete and the motor would strain, then fault out. We cut and re-welded the damaged section, re-hung the leaf, and reset the opener’s limits. The gate swings level now, with an even gap top to bottom.
Electric Gate Motor Repair After Salt Air Corrosion
Before
AfterLiving within a few miles of the coast means salt air gets into everything. This FAAC motor’s internal limit switches had corroded to the point where the gate would randomly reverse mid-cycle. We replaced the switch assembly, cleaned the drive gears, and resealed the housing. The gate now completes a full cycle without pausing, jerking, or reversing on its own.
Heavy Iron Gate Re-Welded at the Hinge

This ornamental iron gate had a top hinge that had torn away from the post. The whole leaf was hanging by the bottom hinge and one very tired lag bolt. We ground the post clean, welded the hinge back into true position, and reinforced the mounting plate. The gate swings straight again and the weight is carried where it was designed to be carried.
Ghost Controls Keypad and Safety Sensor Rewire

The keypad on this driveway gate would work sometimes, and the safety edge had stopped responding entirely. That combination is worse than a gate that simply won’t open. We traced the fault to rodent-chewed low-voltage wiring, ran new wire through conduit, and replaced both the keypad and the safety loop detector. The gate now stops immediately if anything crosses its path, and the keypad works every time.
